Volvo Penta Connection Wires

The following are the various connection wires for the Volvo engines. These engines currently are: TAD734GE, TAD940GE, TAD941GE, TAD1241GE, TAD1240GE, TAD1242GE, TAD1640GE, TAD1641GE, TAD1642GE, TAD1643GE.

8 pin extension harness Volvo Penta Part number 874119


This is the Volvo Penta CAN Extension cable. This is supplied with all EMS 2 Engines (TAD734GE, TAD940GE, TAD941GE, TAD1640GE, TAD1641GE, TAD1642GE and TAD1643GE) as standard. It is an optional extra normally on the TAD1240GE, TAD1241GE, TAD1242GE.



This is the standard 12 Litre wire that comes with the 12 Litre engine. The prefered method of connecting these engines in our opnion is by using the Volvo CAN extension lead above.



This is an engine CIU. It is not supplied by us as standard and it comes with the wire below. These would add £168 to the engine (July 2009 price) should it be required. Using the prefered method of connection (the CAN extension lead above) this part is not required at all.
