    Default Updating firmware (DSE 3110, 7210, 7310, 7320 7220)

On DSE 3110, 7210, 7310, 7320, 7220 and the new 7510 when available it is possible to upgrade the firmware on the modules.

You can do this with the USB cable and the latest version of the DSE configuration suite.

The Deep Sea Configuration suite is the software used to read and write to all 7000 and 3000 series modules.

The attached file can be downloaded and is an online installer, ie you must be connected to the internet to use this downloader.

In order to update your firmware to the latest version you must first download and install the DSE cofiguration suite and latest updates for your module. The DSE configuration suite latest version is above and available for download.

After installing the latest version of the software, start the DSE configuration suite.

Plug the USB cable into the module and and read the modules current configuration and save it to your hard disk somewhere safe so you can reinstall should there be a problem at a later date. You will also need this software to return the modules configuration when complete.

Then select tools and update firmware from the dropdown menu in the suite this will open a wizard which will promt you to disconnect the power and usb lead from the module then select browse to find the latest update for your module making sure to select the can or analogue version - the largest number is the most current version (v1.4 newer than v1.3) once selected you will be promted to reconnect the usb cable and power up the module. Ensure from now on power is not lost to the module until the firmware update is complete. The update will then begin. Follow the instructions on screen until the process is complete.

The module is now updated, with the latest firmware, you must now reprogram it. The DSE Configuration suite will have still have the module configuration loaded - if you are unsure, you can load it in again from disk. You need to convert this software to the current version. If you remove power to your module and turn it back on, it will display the firmware version (eg v1.4). You now need to convert the software to the current version.

From the menus in the DSE configuration suite select
