The following video shows the responce from a DSE 7000 series controller when the CANBUS link is not working and you attempt to start the set.

If the set fails to start when a set is running on the CAN. It is highly likely that the CAN link is not working.

This can be because:

1) The Can cable is not connected properly (come out, loose or damaged) or the can cable is connected the wrong way round.
2) There is a module failure
3) The ECU has failed or s having problems.


By far the most probable cause is number 1.
