Black Exhaust Smoke

Hello,

The other day i started my 1300 series perkins generator and loads of black smoke started to come out ithe exhaust n massive amounts?

Any ideas what might be causing this?

Hello Miguel,

By what you've put sounds like too much oil been sent thorugh or not enough air coming in?

Check restrictions in you air induction system, fuel injector units, cold start system, right grade/type of fuel being used, restrictions in your exhaust pipe, engine temperature too low and incorrect valve tip clearance.
