Welland Engineering has over 50 years experience in designing and manufacturing diesel generating sets. This article give a more detail insight into the history of our company and where we are today. It aims to provide a better understanding of Welland.


In 1950 Welland Engineering was founded due to the increasing needs world-wide for reliable power supplies.Fifty years later we are still providing reliable power right across the globe with improved efficiency and service we have established a multi-million pound market share.
Initially concentrating on the small range of generators up to 80kVA, we now provide a full range up to 2000kVA with engines provided by all the major engine manufacturers.Now, in our custom built factory, we provide some of the highest quality products available in the generating set market.
The range of options we offer is now vast, including Automatic Mains Failure, Remote Controls, Parallelling, Load Sharing, Weatherproof canopies, Acoustic canopies and many others. This consistent and steady growth has been attributed to our insistance on quality and personal attention.
Traditionally we have concentrated on the export market, with typically 90% of all out sets carrying out their working life abroad. This export market has enabled us to produce sets for a huge range of environments, and allows us to continue to use this experience to delight our customers today.
Now, in the new millennium we are continuing to provide the same quality and service that you would expect from a privately owned UK company. We are expanding our network of distributors across the globe, and penetrating new markets.
