    Default Cummins red top

    I have a 2000 cummins red top n-14 500 eng # 11972355 famley xcexh0355nad the unit runs at 2300 rpm for 15 mins or so then goes into what I think is a safe mode it will only turn 15 to 16 hundred rpm when it does this . If you turn power off to the unit it will reset it but only for a short time. Cummins hooked up to the computer an it did not show any codes.Can anyone tell me anything about this

    This doesn't sound like a generator engine running at those speeds? What is it fitted in?
