Mecc Alte SR-7 AVR

Hi,
I had a SR-7 fail and it failed high, i.e. the generator produced its maximum voltage, about 305 VAC instead of 208. I see they have updated that AVR ostensibly for better regulation. This situation in which the AVR fails high is documented in the trouble shooting section of the generator. Was this failure common? Does the updated AVR fix this issue?

Do you mean the updated SR 7 or are you talking about the new DSR digital regulator?

I was referring to the updated SR 7. Now that you mention it, does the digital regulator fail low, i.e. shut power generation down?

It doesn't usually shut it down, you normally get around 110V when the regulator fails I believe.
