Volvo genrator problems

We have two problem on revived genset
1. 225 kva- after run in two min engine goes to shutdown through "ECU shutdown " message. The engine is a TAD732GE.
2. 695 kva - does not crank. Trying to attempt 6 times and goes to message "failure to start ". The engine is a TWD1643GE

These units have all run before, so they should work.
1) Does it display any warnings prior to shutdown?
2) Check the CAN connection from the engine to the module.

On the second one, you should perform this test:

If it does not change the display to 0000 RPM from #### then your CANBUS connection has been disconnected, severed or is bad. Redoing this connection will correct the issue.

On the small unit please check the coolant level and fill right to other top, even if you think it is full and let the engine expel any excess water. Low coolant level on Volvo engines sometimes causes some odd results.
