Default Fit Perkins 4.154 in place of 104.22

Hi, I have a skid steer with a totalled perkins 104.22. I also have access to a Perkins 4.154 (similar power output) what I need to know is will the 154 fit with the existing mountings etc into the skid steer.
    Many thanks

I would guess it won't, the 104.22 is a recently modern and compact unit, the 4.154 is an older unit which is likely to be much bigger and a different footprint.
If you have space, the only thing is to try it and see what is possible.

Thanks, I'm not so worried about mounting the engine in the frame as much as piping up the exhaust and inlet, there seems to be plenty of room so I suppose I'll just have to have a trip and do some measuring and comparison.
    Thanks again

The engine i it will it physically I guess is bigger, so don't orget to go up to a bigger exhaust if required - otherwise the results may not be good!

    Good luck!
