    Default Fuse on Mecc Alte AVR keeps blowing? What is going wrong?

    Hi I have an alternator that is several years old, the fuse on the AVR keeps blowing, what should I do?

    If the fuse on the AVR keeps blowing, it is highly likely you have a problem with the insulation on the exciter stator.

    Check the insulation and I am sure you will then know what to do.
