Info on DSE 3110
Can anyone advise me if the above unit can be configured to start and stop automatically on a 24 volt DC system, ie, Battery Bank, Thanks.

Yes, the DSE can be configured in this way.
You need to program a user configurable input to "Remote Start On Load". When this input is put to ground it will activate and start the "Start Delay" timer in the controller and when this is complete it will attempt to start the set.

Also on DSE 3110,can it be configured to start and stop an alternator system charging a 24 volt DC Battery Bank,?Thanks.

The DSE 3110 has remote start only; in order to configure it to start a 24V battery bank you would need an output from the battery bank that opens when it is up to charge and closes when it requires the generator. Then you use the remote start to start and stop the machine as the battery bank requires.

Question about the DSE 3110.
I've been trying to determine whether it is suitable for my non-CAN application by reading the manual and other documents and testing the software
I need to start the generator off load. The manual regularly refers to this possibility, but does not explain how to configure it to do so.
Is the DSE 3110 somehow to be connected between the generator and the load?
Thanks.

The DSE 3110 can do this, its a good choice, we like the DSE 3110 controller. You would need the MPU version (the CAN version is only OK for CAN engines), although you don't need to fit a MPU (magnetic pickup).
The critical thingif you want to have the generator control module to start the unit on/off load, is that you need a device capable of switching the load!!!! The DSE 3110 has one output you can program to "generator available" which will only be output once the timer sequence has been completed.
You need to think how you will switch this load, the normal way would be an ATS if you also have mains.
(No controller will be able to do what you want unless you have a switching device for the load that you can control!)

Thanks. It turns out our inverter can switch the load.

Excellent, so did it all work OK?
-
Yeah, thanks.
It's coming along well.
Cheers.
