The Welland Power Technical and Sales Teams visited Cummins / Stamford AVK at the Stamford head office in Fountain Court, Peterborough for an in depth training session about the full range of Stamford Alternators and to re-affirm the company's commitment to specify STAMFORD alternators for the majority of the generating sets manufactured at the Welland Power UK factory.
Welland Power generators are now almost exclusively specified with STAMFORD AVK alternators. The Stamford Alternator remains a world renowned market leading product. Like Welland Power, Stamford can trace its roots back many decades having originated less than 20 miles from Welland in the Lincolnshire town of Stamford. The close ties between the two companies and the proximity of the two head offices means that there is an incredibly close and efficient working relationship. For unique and specific builds the ability for both Stamford and Welland Power to co-operate and work together in real time and in real world locations is an asset that no other generator manufacturer in the world can boast.

The team met with the Stamford team including Jonathan Stevens, Mohammed Yusuf, Anthony Farmery and Tanzeel Zargar for a training session to learn more about Stamford products. The day was split into two halves with new product ranges and future directions for both companies being discussed in the morning and a full technical update and product training provided by Stamford AVK in the afternoon.
Points discussed included Winding Configurations, insulation classes, duty cycles, efficiency, AVRs and the new Stamford S7 and S9 Ranges. The latest models incorporate the latest world leading technology which is backed up with enhanced world wide international warranty and support that is expected from the Welland Power and Stamford brands. The new alternators offer an even higher level of quality to the end user and with the introduction of the new range of high power-density products – the S-Range of STAMFORD alternators employing CoreCoolingTM technology – PLUS the introduction of a new industry leading THREE YEAR STANDARD WARRANTY across the whole S-Range product line.

All the Welland Power staff had a very educational day, and as a team have a much better and more in depth understanding of Stamford's range of alternators.
